Bloomsburg University Falls in Men's Soccer

SLIPPERY ROCK-- The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team lost to Slippery Rock on Saturday by a 3-2 score.

The Rock took a 1-0 lead in the game with a goal at the 30 minute mark before the Huskies tied things up a 1-1 when Christian Rota (Langhorne/Neshaminy) scored off a Bryan Darby (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) assist in the 43rd minute. For Rota it was his second goal of the season.

Slippery Rock went up 3-1 getting two goals five minutes apart deep into the game. Bloomsburg made it interesting by getting a goal from Justin McClennan (Wyndmoor/Springfield Twp) unassisted with 1:33 to play in the game. The Huskies did manage to get two more shots off in the game, but one was high and the other wide.

Bloomsburg goes to 0-3, 0-3 in the PSAC. All three Bloomsburg games have been decided by one goal. The Huskies will return to action on Tuesday at New York Tech.
